Excellent message. Thanks for sharing a good resource. (and send Dr. Cloud a link!)

I have heard of that book, but never read it. I did take a few Bible study classes on boundaries though and they were very good. I agree that young people need to know about them. They are good for you and for others too.

Sounds like a great book Mare. I especially like # 6 so many people do this out of love, big mistake!

I had to read BOUNDARIES for KIDS by the same author. He took those same principles and applied to to raising children. Great book.

Dropping in from A to Z. This is my first year participating.

Great points, Mare! I've heard about Dr. Cloud's books but never picked one up. I think I need to. BTW - Dr. Cloud might know who you are. You never know. :)

Have a great week!

I've heard of it before, but never looked into it. Those quotes have intrigued me, though.

I am intrigued, especially with such a strong (unsponsored) recommendation. I will have to add it to my reading list for this summer.

It was easy to be smug until I read "To rescue people from the natural consequences of their behavior is to render them powerless." Oh so guilty and am now living with my consequences from doing just that. Found you on the A to Z.

Great post.
