KARAOKE, anyone?

I admire people who stand up and sing in front of crowd.  Especially if they're not drunk.  I can't imagine ever doing it.  Unless I was singing with six other people, and I was in the back.

The best and most horrific karaoke performance I've ever seen is this one, in a scene from My Best Friend's Wedding.   Julia Roberts' face is priceless.  Dermot Mulroney's character has the best-ever response.

Cameron Diaz sings karaoke

And to think - this will be "out there" forever.  This is why actors get paid the big bucks.

Yes, that is a great movie and such a memorable scene!! I also like the scene where the boys harmonize after sucking helium. :)

Although I sing with our worship team, I have never tried Karaoke. Sounds like a riot! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Happy A to Z!

I feel for her because that is how bad it would be if I sang karaoke...which is why I only sing when alone in the car going down the highway at 60 mph.

Story goes that Diaz was told she would be dubbed over, but they kept her voice in it. Rotten stinkers. :) One of Roberts' best comedies. Hands down.

I'm with you, I could never do that. People pay me not to sing, I think I could make a pretty good living that way.

I've never seen that movie but that is a pretty funny scene. I am definitely NOT an "in front of people" person, haha!

Love love love this movie. And I've never done karaoke. Time to start? I'd totally make YouTube.

I did it many times as a kid. As an "adult" not so much. Less about the fear though and more about the availability. Which sounds like a giant cop out, but really, I haven't been anywhere with Karaoke since 1994.

It's a good thing I don't drink anymore. Karaoke was invented after I stopped drinking or I might have been tempted. Fun post and comments.

My aunt and I did karaoke once and unbeknownst to us there was an extended version to the song we picked, and that is the one they used! Yikes! (and the lyrics were a bit trashy)

Great word and post for the letter K!

Yes that was THE worst karaoke I have ever seen. Now that was excellent acting! Someone has a tape of me and two other girls singing Celebration by Kool and the Gang on a cruise ship. Oh boy - that might be the worst but I haven't personally seen it.
